Sri Lankan racing driver Yevan David stormed through the field again to finish fourth in the FIA Formula 3 Feature Race in Monza on Sunday.
Starting from 16th, David completed the 22-lap race in fourth place, making a decisive pass on Kanato Le at the final corner of the last lap.
The performance followed a similar drive in Saturday’s Sprint Race, where the Dubai-based AIX Racing driver started 17th and fought his way up to fourth.
F3 Championship
This was the penultimate race weekend in the ten-week Formula 3 calendar.
The result was David's best finish in a Feature Race in his debut season in Formula 3, and awarded him 12 championship points.
It moved him up to 15th out of 34 drivers in the drivers' standings with 34 points ahead of next week’s season finale in Madrid.
The two fourth-place finishes at Monza marked David’s highest-scoring weekend (19 points) of his rookie season.
