The Lanka Metro Transit (LMT) opened its fourth depot in Ratmalana on Monday (September 21), ahead of its expected launch later this month.
The depot, which will operate as ‘MetroCoast’, follows the other depots opened this last month in Thalangama (MetroLake), Kadawatha (MetroLink) and Ekala (MetroCore).
The LMT service is already operational along two routes in the Western Province – between Makumbura and Colombo Fort, and between Millennium City and Colombo Fort – with a planned expansion to seven routes when the service officially launches.
